Why actively promote joy and positive vibes?

“Firstly, because scientific studies continue to show that they clearly help prevent cardiovascular disease. Secondly, because we cannot simply remain passive in the face of the negative news that dominates the media, the anxiety-inducing context of war, and the grim faces on the metro…”, replies Professor Damien Gruson.

This realisation was the catalyst for the OPV project, an acronym that leaves no doubt as to its aim: Only Positive Vibes!

By empowering everyone to take action through positivity, resilience and wellbeing, while combining science, creativity and community-led transformation, OPV aims to ‘pave the way for a better future’. No small feat.

A project born at BLSI

Two years ago, Professor Gruson, Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Saint-Luc University Clinics, invited Gianluigi Arialdi, CEO of BLSI, to discuss developing his idea with him. Gianluigi Arialdi enthusiastically accepted straight away, suggesting to Christos Mansinakis, CEO of ORMI and an entrepreneur specialising in commercial strategy and business development for digital health and MedTech companies, that he bring his perspective as a serial entrepreneur to the project.

This meeting helped advance the initiative, with initial discussions held at BLSI. It is an adventure that Gianluigi Arialdi is proud to have been part of from the very outset.

The Zéro event: a first pilot workshop

On 21 May, Gianluigi Arialdi had the pleasure of taking part in the ‘Zéro’ event, a pilot workshop organised to test the first tools developed by OPV. It was a wonderful opportunity to share smiles and meet those who had made the journey with a shared desire: to help spread positive vibes.

To conclude, let’s echo Professor Gruson’s invitation: ‘What made you smile this week ?’

Just thinking about it, the OPV effect is already being felt !
