At BLSI, set up your business in a private, light-filled office which is immediately available, in an environment designed to foster growth.

Our offices are organised into modules of 14 m², 28 m², and 56 m², which you can combine thanks to internal doors. That way, you can choose a space suited to your team, and expand it as you grow.

Each office is fully furnished and comes in an all-inclusive package. From the moment you arrive, you have a professional, private and scalable workspace, without having to manage the fit-out yourself or deal with various practical and technical constraints.

Fully equipped, ready-to-use laboratories in Brussels

At BLSI, eligible projects can begin their research, development or small-scale production activities within a few weeks in fully equipped, ready-to-use laboratories.

The laboratories are organised into 28 m² modules that can be combined. All are equipped with:

lab benches ;
a sink with hot and cold water and an eyewash facility ;
a natural gas supply ;
compressed air ;
the necessary connections for installing a fume cupboard or ventilated cabinet ;
wall-mounted cupboards and storage space.

Above all, all BLSI’s labs already have a Class 1B environmental permit, in accordance with the classification in force in the Brussels-Capital Region. The labs can accommodate activities falling under biosafety levels BSL-1 or BSL-2, subject to verification of the compatibility of each project.

For the relevant projects, this is a major advantage. Obtaining the environmental permit for an autonomous facility generally takes around 18 months of administrative procedures. At BLSI, if your project is compatible with the existing permit and infrastructure, your lab can become operational within a few weeks. You arrive with your project, your protocols and your team. The infrastructure is already in place.

BLSI is one of the few organisations in Belgium to offer fully equipped, compact labs which already have environmental permits.

BLSI has several meeting rooms, each with varying capacities, equipped for your team meetings, presentations and video conferences. Some also feature interactive screens suitable for collaborative working sessions and e-learning.

Resident companies benefit from 10 hours of free use per month in certain rooms. They can also use the larger-capacity rooms available on the UCLouvain campus, if need be.

BLSI is conveniently located for your team’s daily commute and for hosting your visitors.

Vandervelde metro station is a two-minute walk away and gets you to Brussels city centre in around 20 minutes. The Brussels Ring Road and Brussels Airport are less than 15 minutes away by car.

Secure parking is available for cars and bikes. Your visitors can park there for free.
